Taken from Queensway looking towards the College. The tower at the college is yet to be built.

Taken from Queensway looking towards the old library. The round childrens library is behind the rear of the car. This view now would be of the Kingsgate Car Park entrance.

College Road/Haslett Avenue roundabout looking towards the railway bridge over Southgate Avenue.

This is from the college end of Queensway looking back across what would later become the NCP car park next to Sainsburys and now TK Maxx. The houses in the background are those at the end of Northgate Road and the white building to to the right is on the site of the Town Hall.

Standing by the entrance to the Memorial Gardens on Queensway looking towards the College. The tower at the college is yet to be built

If you were taking this photo today, St Johns Church would be on your left and the roundabout at the junction of the Broadway and Haslett Avenue in front of you. The row of shops with McDonalds etc. is yet to be built.
