Rusper Road Playing Fields, Ifield
The dark band across the sky on those photos looking north and east is as a result of the forest fire in Ashdown Forest on the afternoon that these photos were taken.

Looking west towards Rusper & Leith Hill. Bonwyckes Place in Ifield Wood is on the far right. Furlong Farm is left of centre and Pound Cottages right of centre
Looking north west. Bonwyckes Place is left of centre and the line of scattered development heading right from there is Ifield Wood.
Druids, off Ifield Wood, is just right of and above centre. St Margaret's Church is on the right hand side. Boxhill is in the background.
St Margaret's Church is in the centre with the village and Aldingbourne close to the right. Gatwick is beyond.
Part of St Margaret's Church is just visible on the far left. Rusper Road is running up the picture, just left of centre with Ifield Green beyond. Lavington Close, Loxwood Walk and Patching Close are to the right of the photo.
Ifield Parade is in the centre of the photo with Ifield Drive and then Warren Drive running from bottom to top up the middle. The new development on the site of the old ICC is on the far right. The little road at the bottom of the picture is Rudgwick Road
Shipley Road runs up the middle of the picture and Ifield Drive along the bottom. centre and left is Beaumont Park on the old ICC site and above right of centre is Manor Green school with St Margaret's school and Ewhurst Playing Fields beyond. The cube shaped building towards the horizon is the Sandman Hotel and the building to the right of that, and a little higher, with the two white bits on the top is Milton Mount Flats. On the far right of the picture is the Leisure Park & Stoner House, separated from the school playing fields by part of West Green.
ICC on the left and The Mill Primary in the centre. Most of the town centre landmarks can be seen beyond as well as the two plumes of smoke rising from the fires in Ashdown Forest on the horizon, beyond Turners Hill. To the left and above the college is a conspicuous white building - these are the flats on the southern side of Worth Corner. On the far right, towards the top, is St Wilfred's.
Ifield Station is in the centre, with Treyford Close in the foreground. St Wilfred's is the white building above and left of centre. The flat white sheet towards the top and right of centre is K2.
Treyford close is in the foreground to the left, with Ifield Park nursing home to the right. Over the railway, marked by the horizontal line of trees, is Gossops Green with the Primary school playing fields just above centre. K2 is in the top left and the eagle eyed will see the roof of the East Stand at the Broadfield Stadium just below. Broadfield is nestled on the hill at the top of the photo.
The Millbank, Ifield is in the foreground with the millpond beyond, to the right. Ifield Park is in the bottom left and Gossops Green and Bewbush fill the bulk of the photo. Broadfield is top left. Look closely along the ridge at the top of the photo and you will see the Radar at Pease Pottage. The treeless area in the centre of the ridge is Cottesmore Golf Course and the field on the far right of the photo, just above the Millpond, is the cricket pitch in Bewbush.
The Millbank, Ifield is in the foreground with the mill and millpond beyond in the centre. The crescent shaped road to the right is Hyde Drive. Top right is Kilnwood Vale. Top left, beyond the ridge, you can just see the silhouette of the South Downs.
