2 locations in Wimlands Lane

The first set of photographs were taken from the footpath from Carylls Lea Farm to Wimlands Lane.

 

Looking west across the peak of Hurst Hill, which is under the tree cover in the top left quarter.

 

Looking north

 

North east towards Gatwick. Carryls Country House, on Faygate Lane, is in the centre of the photo.

 

An easterly view, with Kilnwood Vale above in the top left quarter and Faygate on the far right.

 

Looking south towards the Cherry Tree Inn, which is next to the reflecting sun above the centre of the picture. Faygate is on the left and Holmbush is on the far left, close to the top.

 

Looking south west towards Horsham over Wimlands Farm, in the foreground. The junction of Wimlands Lane and Wimlands Road is just right of centre.

 

Looking towards Leith Hill, the white building right of and above centre is Old Park, close to the junction with Horsham Road and Wimlands Road. Coombers Farm is in the centre

 

Looking north towards Rusper, which can be seen in the top right quarter

 

A slight turn to the right, but still a northwards view.

 

A north east view towards Gatwick (top left) and Crawley Top right. North Grange Farm is in the foreground and Carryls Country House, on Faygate Lane, is to the left of centre.

 

An easterly view towards Kilnwood Vale. Crawley Town centre is top left.

 

Looking south easterly towards Faygate and Holmbush.

 

A southern view towards The Cherry Tree Inn and Roffey Park, both hidden by trees.

 

Looking in a south west direction over Wimlands Road and the Frog and Nightgown towards Horsham.

 

Looking west over the junction of Wimlands Lane and Wimlands Road towards the woods on Hurst Hill

 

The following photos are taken from above a field close to the junction of Wimlands Lane and Wimlands Road

Looking south down Wimlands Road and on to Horsham. The Frog & Nightgown is left and above centre.

 

Looking west along the ridge of Hurst Hill.

 

Northerly view towards Box Hill and Leith Hill

 

Looking north east towards Gatwick. Crawley is to the right.

 

Looking north east towards Crawley.

 

East over Faygate, with Holmbush beyond.

 

The buildings just above centre are those close to the Cherry Tree Inn on the A264.

 

Looking south towards Horsham, the Frog & Nightgown is just to the right of centre, hidden behind a tree to the left of the visible buildings. Wimlands Road snakes it's way across the photo. Roffey is in the background

 

A south westerly view across Horsham

 

Hawkesbourne Farm, on Hurst Hill, is just right of centre and Moathouse Farm is just to the left.

 

Looking west along the ridge of Hurst Hill. Warnham landfill site is just visible above centre, beyond the trees.

 

North west towards Leith Hill. Old Park, on the Rusper to Horsham Road, is the large white building  just above centre.

 

North over Rusper to Box Hill. The church tower at Rusper is just visible between the trees in the top right quarter when viewed at full size.

 

A slight turn to the right looking between Lambs Green and Rusper. Rusper Court is behind the trees just to the left of centre.

 

North east towards Gatwick & Crawley
