Two locations in Lambs Green

The first set of photos are taken from close to The Lamb Public House

 

Looking south west along Lambs Green towards Faygate Lane (marked by the hedge going across the photo about a third of the way down) and Rusper Court (whose chimneys are just visible through the trees above the farm buildings beyond Faygate Lane). Horsham is in the top left corner

 

Looking north towards Leith Hill and Box Hill. The white house on the far right of centre is at the junction of Lambs Green, East Street and Burnt House Lane.

 

Looking north east towards Gatwick (top right). The white house on the far left of centre is at the junction of Lambs Green, East Street and Burnt House Lane. The former Gate Public House is on the far right, just above centre and The Mount is higher up and just right of centre. The farm buildings top left are Ivy House Farm on Partridge Lane.

 

Looking east towards Ifield.

 

Looking south east towards Kilnwood Vale which is left of centre, near the top.

 

Looking north west towards Rusper, Normans is just above the centre with the cluster of houses around the Star just above and to the left. Part of the church tower can be seen poking out from behind a tree immediately above Normans.

 

A slight turn to the right, facing Leith Hill. Chellows is on the far right in the centre.

 

Looking north towards Box Hill, The white house just left of centre is at the junction of Lambs Green, East Street and Burnt House Lane.

 

North east towards the airport, The Mount is just left of and above centre.

 

A slight turn right, the former Gate Public House is on the far left of centre with Bonwyckes Place in Ifield Wood just above. Manor Royal in Crawley is top centre. On the far right of centre is Stumbleholme Farm. The farm house itself is hidden behind the line of trees in between the outbuildings.

Looking south east towards Kilnwood Vale

 

A view southwards towards Faygate, of which only a handful of rooftops are visible. Carylls Country House, on Faygate Lane, is the large house on the far right and you can follow Faygate Lane to the crossroads with Kilnwood Lane and Wimlands Lane at the top of the hill.

 

A south westerly view along Lambs Green to the junction with Faygate Lane, which is in the centre.

 

A westerly view towards Rusper Court, which is at the bottom of the top left quarter, just behind the farm buildings.

 

The next set of photos were taken further west along Lambs Green, close to the junction with Faygate Lane

 

Looking east towards Ifield. Axmas House is in the foreground and Croudace, next to The Lamb, is on the far left.

 

Looking south towards Holmbush, which is close to the top and just right of centre. Kilnwood Vale is top left and Faygate Lane is in the top right quarter

 




 

Looking south west towards Horsham in the distance. The junction of Lambs Green and Faygate Lane is in the bottom right.

 

Looking west towards Rusper Court and Rusper Court Farm in the centre. In the top left quarter is Old Park, the large white building on the Horsham Road from Rusper.  junction of Lambs Green and Faygate Lane is in the bottom left. Rusper is top right and the church is visible from this angle.

 

Looking north towards Box Hill, Normans is in the top left quarter and Faygate Lane is on the left running vertically up the photo.

 

Looking north east along Lambs Green towards the airport. The Lamb is in the centre.

 

Looking south east towards south western Crawley and Kilnwood Vale.

 

Looking south towards Holmbush, which is in the top right quarter. Kilnwood Vale is top left.

 

Looking towards Faygate along Faygate Lane, which winds its way up the photo from the bottom right.

 

Looking south west towards Horsham. Faygate Lane is cutting the bottom left corner.

 

Looking west, Rusper Court is right of centre.

 

A slight turn right, looking over Rusper Court Farm

 

Looking north west towards Rusper, which is in the top left quarter. Normans is just above centre and Faygate Lane runs from bottom left towards the top right.

 

North towards Box Hill, Chellows is just above centre towards the right hand side.

 

North east towards The Mount, which is above centre. Gatwick is top right.

 

North east along Lambs Green towards Gatwick

 

East towards Ifield and Crawley beyond.
