Worth Forest
Standinghall Lane (close to Worth Abbey)
2 September 2019

Looking north west towards Crawley. On the far left, just beyond the end of the trees, is Oriel Playing Fields and the green patch to the right of that is Maidenbower Playing Fields. The white buildings close to the centre is the small trading estate near the motorway junction where the Coaching Halt pub is. Crawley Town centre is towards the top left and Gatwick is just right of centre, close to the top. Spot the plane taking off. The buildings just right of centre, at the top right of the large field, are those of Worth Lodge Farm. Slightly above the very far left tip of that field is Worth Church.

Looking north east towards Crawley Down. I believe the buildings in the trees, just above and to the right of centre, are Tulley's Farm.

Looking east towards Turners Hill. At the very tip of the hill in the top left quarter, where the triangular brown field comes to a point, is Turners Hill Church tower. The fields on the right are the playing fields at Worth School.

Worth Abbey & Worth School, with the school playing fields in the foreground.

Looking south west, the fields in the bottom left are the playing fields at Worth School.

Looking west across Worth & Tilgate Forests. Left of centre, towards the top of the trees, is the section of M23 which cuts Tilgate Forest in half. To the right is Maidenbower with Tilgate, Furnace Green, Southgate & Crawley Town Centre beyond.

North west towards Gatwick Airport

Looking north east towards Crawley Down, which can be seen in the centre towards the top of the picture.

A slight turn to the right. Tulley's Farm is just above centre.

Looking east towards Turners Hill. At the very tip of the hill just above centre, where the triangular brown field comes to a point, is Turners Hill Church tower

South east towards West Hoathly, with Worth School playing fields in the foreground.

Looking south over Worth Abbey

South west towards Balcombe

A slight turn to the right, looking roughly towards Handcross.

Looking west towards Pease Pottage across Worth & Tilgate Forests. in the top right quarter is the section of M23 which cuts Tilgate Forest in half and just above and to the left of the motorway is the radar and water tower at Cottesmore.

Worth Forest in the foreground and Tilgate Forest towards the top left. The first houses are the southern end of Maidenbower with Tilgate, Furnace Green, Southgate & Crawley Town Centre beyond. K2 is visible in the top left quarter and Kilnwood Vale is above it.

Maidenbower is on the left with Three Bridges and Crawley Town Centre beyond. To the right is Pound Hill and Worth Church is again visible just beyond the motorway about a 5th of the way in from the right. Gatwick is top right
