20 aerial photographs

20 aerial photographs of St Nicholas Church, Worth in West Sussex taken on 29 June 2024.

St Nicholas is often said to be one of the finest Saxon churches in England and it boasts the largest Saxon chancel arch in the country. Constructed in Wealden sandstone, possibly as far back as 871 but certainly by 950, most of the nave walls, three internal arches and the two transepts are all original Saxon work. The tower and south porch are Victorian additions and the roof was reconstructed in 1988 after being destroyed by fire.
