75 aerial photographs of Horsham town centre and the surrounding countryside

75 aerial photographs of Horsham town centre and the surrounding countryside taken from the Barrack Field, south of St Mary's Church, in Horsham, West Sussex on the afternoon of 30 June 2025

I have annotated some of the photos.

In the top right quarter, above a field, is Wimlands Farm. The hedge line splitting the two fields is Wimlands Road - that really steep bit just leading up to the S bend just before the Wimlands Lane junction that every cyclist and walker is familiar with! In the top left quarter, on the very far left, is the eastern end of Bohunt.

Left of centre is Horsham Station and just down line is the bridge from behind the Capitol to the Royal & SunAlliance car park in Victoria Street. In the top right quarter is the Tower of All Saints Church in Roffey. The houses top centre, just below the ridge, are at Durrants Village in Faygate. The ridge behind is the one that Kilnwood Lane runs along. Above the spire of All Saints, way in the distance through the valley, is Astral Towers & the Firsty Choice Building just south of Gatwick and the Crowne Plaza at Tushmore Roundabout

Millais is in the top right quarter. At the very top of the picture, immediately above Millais, is the radar station at pease pottage and just below that, and to the left, are the gables & chimneys of Forest Lodge in Colgate.

Forest School, at the bottom of the top right quarter.

Bennetts Road playing fields are in the centre and in the bottom right are Arun Way allotments. In the top right quarter is Horsham Rugby Club.

I believe the chimneys above the open space in teh centre are those of St Johns College (or Coolhurst House, to give it it's modern name) in Coolhurst.

The church tower left of centre near the top is that of Holy Trinity Church at Lower Beeding

Chesworth House, bottom.

I've been unable to identify this collection of buildings with 100% certainty, but I think it's Bulls Farm in Sedgwick Lane.

On the far right are Bourne Hill Cottages on Kerves Lane

Bourne Hill House

Some properties around Denne House, the tiniest part of which can be seen to the right of centre.

The blue netting to the right is the driving range at Horsham Golf.

Southwater across the top half of the picture.

The building in the centre is at Hop Oast Depot.

Christs Hospital

Far right of centre is the new firestation at Highwood. In the top right quarter on the far right is the industrial complex west of Hayes Lane near Slinfold Football and Tennis Clubs

The new A264 through Broadbridge Heath in the centre.

Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre and Tescos. Hills Cemetery below

The distinctive St Johns Church in Broadbridge Heath is just right of centre.

Warnham Court is in the top left quarter. Leith Hill tower is clear.

Warnham Landfill is in the top left. North parade is vertical on the far right of the picture. Graylands is in the top right quarter. Box Hill is on the horizon.

Horsham Park. Just behind is Collyers and the white building on the hill is Horsham Swim School on Old Holbrook/Northlands Lane, whichever label you prefer.

Ciba/Novartis in the centre of the image. Mowbray and Bohunt at the foot of Hurst Hill in the distance. The pavilions is in the bottom right quarter. You'll also spot the training tower at the old firestation just below Collyers playing field.

Town Hall, Middle Street & Carfax

Eastern side of The Causeway

Western side of The Causeway

Blackhorse Way, West Street & Swan Walk

John Lewis, Waitrose and Warnham Court
