60 aerial photographs of Horsham, Broadbridge Heath and the surrounding countryside taken from The Needles recreation Ground in Horsham, West Sussex on the afternoon of 30 June 2025 I have annotated some of the photos.

 

The Cricket Field

St Mary's i sin the foreground and Forest School is in the top right quarter on the edge of the urban area.

 

The floodlights in the the top left quarter are at Horsham Rugby Club. Horsham YM Football Club is just below centre. In the top right quarter are the chimneys of St Johns College (or Coolhurst House, to give it it's modern name) 

 

Chesworth House is just below centre. The church tower left of centre near the top is that of Holy Trinity Church at Lower Beeding

 

 

 

Above centre and to the left is Bulls Farm in Sedgwick Lane

 

 




 

In the top right quarter is St Hughs Charterhouse at Cowfold.

 

The blue netting is the driving range at Horsham Golf Centre

 

In the top left quarter is the Adur Gap, being watched over by the chimney of Shoreham Cement Works on the left and Lancing College on the right.

 

In the centre is the Hop Oast Depot

 

Southwater in the top left quarter.

The spire near the top, in the centre, is that of St Mary's at Billingshurst.

 

Sewage treatment works to the left

 

 

The new fire station is in the bottom right corner.

 

A24/A264 roundabouts at Highwood

 

Broadbridge Heath FC, below centre.

 

The Leisure Centre & Tesco's at Broadbridge Heath

 

The distinctive Broadbridge Heath church is right of centre.

 

 

 

 

Warnham Court & Leith Hill Tower. Below Leith Hill Tower, and slightly right, it Elmers Mill at ockley.

 

 

Top centre is Warnham Landfill on Langhurstwood Road and at the bottom, just left of centre, is Merryfield Pond.

 

Graylands is in the top left quarter and Horsham Swim School, on Old Holbrook, is in the top right

 

Mowbray is in teh top right quarter. right of centre is the small spire of Holy Trinity Church in Rushams Road, which is also the road zig zagging into the middle from the bottom right quarter. Running parallel to the left is Vale Drive, with Spencers Road seemingly continuing into the top left quarter.

 

Bonhunt school is in the top left quarter and Wimlands Farm, on Wimlands Lane, is just right of centre near the top. The hill sin the distance are the North Downs. In the centre is Springfield House

 

Horsham park across the centre.

 

Swan Walk, The Carfax, Parkside, St Marks Court etc. Horsham Station is just right of centre.

 

Pease Pottage Radar Station is in the top left quarter and Sainsburys is at the foot of the picture. the eastern side of the town centre is across the centre of the image. In the top right quarter is Millais.
