Kingstonian 1(0) - (0)1 Weston-Super-Mare
FA Cup 3rd qualifying round
5 October 2019
Att: 358
At the King George Recreation Ground (home of Corinthian Casuals)

In a clash between two step three sides Kingstonian, of the Isthmian League Premier Division were the better side against Southern League Premier Division (South) side Weston-Super-Mare until they were reduced to 10 men after 68 minutes. They had taken the lead through Reece Hall after 56 minutes, but one could argue that they should have already been in front having been denied a clear penalty early in the second half.

It took a while for WSM to take advantage of their numerical superiority, but for the last 10 minutes of normal time they really turned the screw and with the clock ticking over onto 90 minutes, Hall turned from hero to villain when he gave away a penalty which was expertly converted by Scott Laird.

A minute later, WSM's left winger hung up a beautiful cross which was nodded home by their big substitute, but despite no K's players appealing the referee managed to see a push that no one else in the ground had noticed and chalked off what would have been the winner.
