This was an entertaining affair, despite being a dead rubber; Little Common are safely entrenched in mid-table and East Preston will be playing in Division One next season having managed to accrue just 9 points from their 33 games prior to this, conceding 139 goals in the process.

East Preston took a surprise early lead, but Little Common were level within 2 minutes and went in at half time 4-1 to the good. The game slowed a little in the second half, but sprang to life again when a long overhit diagonal ball was dropped into the net by the EP goalkeeper for the fifth, which was closely followed by a sixth. East Preston pulled one back when a misplaced backpass eluded the LC goalkeeper, the ball winning a three way race with the keeper and an EP forward, before LC finished the scoring late in the game.
