Ifield Golf Course, The Grove & Hyde Hill Woods
24 March 2020

Todays 'exercise' took the form of a 4 mile, 2 hour walk from Ifield West to The Grove, next to Granthams Bridge, in search of the minepits which provided the iron ore for the medieval bloomery across the road at Stumbleholme farm. We walked via the public footpath from the Hyde across (the closed) Ifield golf course and took the opportunity to record that for possible (likely?) posterity. Our route home was via Hyde Hill Woods.

Guess who forgot to start the tracker when we left home...
