Bedham old Church, St Michaels and All Angels, was built in 1880 by William Townley Mitford, the former MP for Midhurst, and the Church of England to provide education for children from the hamlet and surrounding area and to serve as the local church on Sundays. By the 1930s services were held only once or twice a month and the church closed in 1959.
